IN FACT, I HAD NO FINANCIAL STABILITY.

I was tending to damaged credit and had a business lease in my name for something I hadn’t started building. Leaving meant that I would have to move back in with my parents as a single mom who was still recovering from an earlier miscarriage, and that was daunting, to say the least.

THERE WAS A STANDOUT MOMENT THAT REALLY SHIFTED THINGS FOR ME.

Standing in my kitchen, I saw my 3 year old daughter crumpled up on the floor, crying like I had been just the night before. And it hit me HARD!

She was watching me. Subtly taking in who I was being. What I was tolerating. Mirroring my emotions, my worries, my beliefs and my actions. This sweet little human who shouldn’t have a care in the world, was searching for that person or circumstance that could save her.

It was then and there that I decided NO MORE.

No more settling. No more shrinking. No more playing victim to my circumstances.

I KNEW I HAD A CHOICE TO MAKE…

In this moment with my daughter, it became undeniable that no one, but me, was going to make this better.

Because no one, but me, was capable of creating the life that I envisioned for us.
